SIJHL announces suspensions

THUNDER BAY, Ont. – Superior International Hockey League Commissioner Bryan Graham has announced the following suspensions after conducting disciplinary reviews:

SETH CHUMLEY, (F) MINNESOTA IRON RANGERS – TWO (2) GAMES

Minnesota Iron Rangers forward Seth Chumley is suspended two games for his actions in SIJHL Game No. 4, Fort Frances Lakers at Minnesota Iron Rangers held on Sunday, Sept. 21.

Chumley delivered a hit to the head area of an opposing player and although no penalty was called on the play, he is suspended under Supplementary Discipline.  

Chumley will miss the following Iron Rangers games:

SIJHL Game No. 6: Friday, Sept. 26 MINNESOTA @ English River
SIJHL Game No. 8: Saturday, Sept. 27 MINNEOTA @ Dryden

GORDON CAMPBELL, (D) FORT FRANCES LAKERS – THREE (3) GAMES

Fort Frances Lakers defenceman Gordon Campbell is suspended three games for his actions in SIJHL Game No. 5, Fort Frances Lakers at Dryden GM Ice Dogs, played on Wednesday, Sept. 24.  

At the 8:06 mark of the second period, Campbell was assessed a Match Penalty under Rule 6.1 (a) for Attempt to Injure following an altercation with a Dryden player.  

Campbell will miss the following Lakers games:

SIJHL Game No. 9: Saturday, Sept. 27 – Thunder Bay @ FORT FRANCES
SIJHL Game No. 10: Tuesday, Sept. 30 – FORT FRANCES @ English River
SIJHL Game No. 12: Friday, Oct. 3 – Dryden @ FORT FRANCES
