Lakers acquire forward Lemelin

FORT FRANCES — The Superior International Junior Hockey League champion Fort Frances Lakers announced Wednesday that they have acquired forward Francois Lemelin from the Kindersley Klippers of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League for a player development fee (PDF).

“Francois is a big body player that can play in the middle or left side,” said Fort Frances head coach/general manager Wayne Strachan.

“His skill set is good and he brings in experience having played Jr. A the last three years with stops in the CCHL, NAHL and SJHL,” adeed Strachan.

“He is a 19-year-old and we are hoping he can break through in his junior career with us.”
