Iron Rangers announce camp dates/signings

HOYT LAKES – The Minnesota Iron Rangers of the Superior International Junior Hockey League have announced they will be holding a prospects camp Aug. 7-9 at Richfield Ice Arena in suburban Minneapolis, Minn.

Cost of the three-day event is $250.

In other team news the club has announced it has re-signed defenceman Jake Ellingson along with forwards Hunter Routheau, Eric Madison and Alex Arnold for the 2015-16 season.

In 32 games last season the 19-year-old Ellingson, who hails from Fargo, N.D., scored 10 times and added eight assists.

Routheau, 20, is from Green Bay, Wis., and picked up 35 points in 54 outings for Minnesota in 2014-15 on 11 tallies and 24 helpers.

As for Madison, the 20-year-old from St. Paul, Minn., he too was an 11-goal man for the Iron Rangers while also chipping in with eight assists in 52 games.

The 20-year-old Arnold played in 45 regular season games for the club last season with the Omaha, Neb., native scoring nine times and setting up 13 others for 22 points.

Minnesota also shipped the playing rights of defenceman Evan Bennett to the Buffalo Jr. Sabres (OJHL) for a player development fee.
