Hat-trick for Hynnes as North Stars handle Wilderness

THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay North Stars defenceman and team captain Trevor Hynnes tallied three times and added an assist to help lead his club to a 9-4 victory over the Wisconsin Wildnerness Monday evening in Superior International Junior Hockey League play at the Fort William Gardens.

Brandon Wolframe also had a big night for the North Stars notching a goal and dishing out four helpers in the one-side victory.

Alex Vaillant chipped with a couple of markers and set-up another while Daniel Delpaggio registered a trio of assists of his own.

Matthias Gardiman, Zach Grzelewski and Brett Wolframe chipped in with solo markers while Kris Kellaway doled out two assists.

Tanner Vinson scored once and set-up a couple more for Wisconsin with Nick Minerva and Justin Gregory supplying one tally, one helper nights. Shane Billings had the other Wilderness effort.

Shots on goal favoured the home side by a 36-32 margin with Thunder Bay improving to 11-2-0-3 on the season and Wisconsin sliding to 1-15.
