GM Ice Dogs 6th in CJHL weekly rankings

THUNDER BAY, Ont. – The Canadian Junior Hockey League announced Monday its initial top 20 regular season rankings for the 2014-15 campaign and one Superior International Junior Hockey League club has earned recognition.

The SIJHL-leading Dryden GM Ice Dogs were slotted sixth overall in the weekly CJHL listings, which are compiled in conjunction with International Scouting Services.

Dryden is off to a solid start early in the season under first-year head coach Kurt Walsten having picked up nine of a possible 10 points with a 4-0-0-1 overall record.

The top rated club in the CJHL this week is the Trenton Gold Hawks (OJHL) followed by the Winnipeg Blues (MJHL) at No. 2 and the Notre Dame Hounds (SJHL) ranked No. 3.

Rounding out the CJHL top 5 are the Chilliwack Chief (BCHL) at No. 4 and the Woodstock Slammers (MHL) at No. 5.
