Fort Frances remains 10th in CJHL Pointstreak Top 20 rankings
THUNDER BAY, Ont. – Despite seeing their season-high 13-game win streak snapped at last week’s Superior International Junior League Showcase the Fort Frances Lakers have held their spot in the Pointstreak Top 20 rankings.
The SIJHL-leading Lakers were once again tabbed No. 10 in the CJHL listings, which are produced in conjunction with International Scouting Services.
Fort Frances enters play this week with a 30-8-0-1 overall record in the SIJHL with the defending Bill Salonen Cup title holders and 2015 Dudley-Hewitt Cup Central Canada Jr. A Championship hosts having gone 20-3-0-0 in league play since Nov. 1
Winners of 12 straight, the 2015 RBC Cup host Portage Terriers of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League remain the No. 1 side in the 129-team CJHL boasting a 47-2-2 mark in the MJHL.
Another surging club, the Spruce Grove Saints of Alberta, are riding a 16-game win streak and are once again slotted in the No. 2 spot in the CJHL.
The Carleton Place Canadians moved up to No. 3 nationally as the Central Canada Hockey League front runners moved up two slots this week in the rankings.
