Fort Frances Lakers 13th in CJHL rankings

THUNDER BAY, Ont. – The Fort Frances Lakers is the Superior International Junior Hockey League’s lone representative in the latest Canadian Junior Hockey League Pointstreak Top 20 weekly rankings, which were announced Monday.

Fort Frances, who top the SIJHL standings, are ranked 13th this week in the CJHL listings, which are compiled in conjunction with International Scouting Services.

The defending Bill Salonen Cup champion and 2015 Dudley-Hewitt Cup host Lakers have a league-leading 10-4-0-1 record after 15 games.

Despite dropping their first contest of the season last week, the 2015 RBC Cup host Portage Terriers (MJHL) remain the No. 1 team in the CJHL. They have a 16-1 record entering play this week.

Rolling along having won 10 straight, the 13-1 Penticton Vees (BCHL) are now No. 2 in the ratings while the Carleton Place Canadians (CCHL) have used a five-game unbeaten run to improve to 20-4 and earn the No. 3 ranking.
