Fort Frances 5th in CJHL rankings

THUNDER BAY, Ont. – Continuing to pile up points in the Superior International Junior Hockey League standings has helped the Fort Frances Lakers move up in Canadian Junior Hockey League Pointstreak Top 20 rankings.

The latest edition of the listings, which are compiled in conjunction with International Scouting Services, announced Monday has the Lakers slotted fifth in the 131-CJHL.

Having gone 13-0-0-1 in their past 14 outings, Fort Frances sits atop the SIJHL standings with 78 points and an overall record of 38-6-0-2 heading into a contest in Thunder Bay Monday evening.

Their magic number to clinch first place and home ice advantage in the upcoming Bill Salonen Cup playoffs sits at four.
