SIJHL announces suspensions
THUNDER BAY, Ont. – Superior International Hockey League Commissioner Bryan Graham announced the following suspensions Saturday:
KEVIN KAHOOT, (HEAD COACH) ENGLISH RIVER MINERS – ONE (1) GAME
Kahoot was suspended for incurring a game misconduct penalty, under rule 9.2 (h), in SIJHL Game No. 30, English River Miners vs. Thunder Bay North Stars.
Kahoot will miss the following Miners game:
SIJHL Game No. 31: Saturday, Oct. 25 Thunder Bay @ ENGLISH RIVER
AARON BALCOMBE, (F) ENGLISH RIVER MINERS – ONE (1) GAME
Balcombe was suspended for incurring a minor penalty and subsequent automatic game misconduct for checking from behind under Rule 6.4 (a) in SIJHL Game No. 30, English River Miners vs. Thunder Bay North Stars.
Due to the fact that this penalty occurred in the final 10 minutes of the third period, Balcombe is assessed an automatic one game suspension under Rule 4.6 (c).
Balcombe will miss the following Miners game:
