North Stars soar to No. 4 in CJHL rankings

THUNDER BAY, Ont. – The Canadian Junior Hockey League released their latest edition of the Top 20 rankings Monday and the surging Thunder Bay North Stars have made a significant jump in the weekly listings.

As one of four currently unbeaten clubs in the 132-team CJHL,  the Superior International Junior Hockey League-leading North Stars were tabbed fourth overall nationally.

Thunder Bay currently tops the SIJHL standings with 10 points with a perfect 5-0-0-0 record heading into Wednesday’s home contest at the Fort William Gardens with the second place Dryden GM Ice Dogs (3-1-0-0) at 7:30 p.m.

The Steinbach Pistons (MJHL) is the No. 1 rated team in the CJHL this week followed by the Terrebonne Cobras (QJHL) at No. 2 and the Yarmouth Jr. ‘A’ Mariners, who sit in the No. 3 slot.
