Kyle Pouncy also chipped in with a couple tallies and a helper with Dylan Cusmano adding a solo effort.

Dominic Blouin had the lone Miners marker.

Tate Sproxton made 19 saves to win in his SIJHL debut for Dryden.

Jesse Fontaine started for English River and suffered the loss allowing five against on 31 shots.

Greg Harney stopped 32 of 37 in relief as the GM Ice Dogs.

League play resumes Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. as the Minnesota Iron Rangers host the Fort Frances Lakers at Hoyt Lakes Arena in a rematch of last season’s Bill Salonen Cup final.
