DRYDEN, Ont. — The Dryden GM Ice Dogs and Dryden Minor Hockey Association (DMHA) announced Sunday announce an exciting partnership between their two organizations.

An agreement has been reached that will allow the GM Ice Dogs to collaborate with Dryden Minor Hockey in the delivery of their 50/50 draw at all Ice Dogs’ regular season and playoff home games, along with the games during the Dudley-Hewitt Cup Central Canada Jr. A Championship.

As the host of the 2018 Dudley-Hewitt Cup, additional costs were added to the clubs’ operational budget.

These constraints required the Ice Dogs’ organization to actively shop for a lottery license partner to officially carry out a 50/50 draw during the 2017-18 season.

The Dryden Minor Hockey Association, as the roots of hockey organization in Dryden, was the natural fit for this union.

DMHA will profit from the sales of the 50/50 draw during the regular season, playoffs and the Dudley-Hewitt Cup.

The positive tradeoff for this partnership is that DMHA will receive season passes for every registered player to attend all regular season Dryden GM Ice Dogs’ home games for free.

This partnership will be of benefit to both organizations.

“On behalf of the Dryden GM Ice Dogs, I’m very happy to be a part of this incredible partnership,” stated team president Mike Sveinson. “DMHA is the foundation of hockey development in Dryden, and a natural partner for us.Anything that Dryden’s Junior A team can do to join forces with them is a positive for the organization.”

“DMHA is happy to enter into this partnership to support an organization that provides local role models for our athletes,” offered DMHA president Marjo Viherjoki.

“The Dryden GM Ice Dogs have donated their time by helping out our players on the ice every year,” added Viherjoki.

“With this partnership, we can help support the team and at the same time enhance our players’ experience this season.”
