Fort Frances finishes 9th in final CJHL rankings

THUNDER BAY, Ont. – The Canadian Junior Hockey League announced its final edition of the Pointstreak Top 20 rankings for the 2014-15 season Monday and the front runner in the Superior International Junior Hockey League maintained their placing.

The Fort Frances Lakers finished up ninth overall in last CJHL listings of the campaign, which were produced in conjunction with International Scouting Services.

Having already secured their second consecutive SIJHL regular season crown, the Lakers hold down top spot in the league standings with a 39-10-0-1 record.

They are guaranteed the No. 1 seed in the upcoming SIJHL playoffs.

Fort Frances will also serve as the host team for the 2015 Dudley-Hewitt Cup Central Canada Jr. A Championship April 28 through May 2 at Ice for Kids Arena.

The top three in the final CJHL rankings went unchanged to wrap things up.

Finishing No. 1 was the 2015 RBC Cup Portage Terriers (MJHL) followed by the Spruce Grove Saints (AJHL) at No. 2 and the Aurora Tigers (OJHL) at No. 3.
