Fort Frances 8th in CJHL winning percentage
THUNDER BAY, Ont. – The surging Fort Frances Lakers are sitting among the elite in the Canadian Junior Hockey League when it comes to winning percentage.
Fort Frances enters action this week eighth in the 129-team CJHL in winning percentage with an impressive .797 mark.
Currently riding a solid 12-game winning streak, the Lakers boast the best record in the Superior International Junior Hockey League at 29-7-0-1, giving them a SIJHL-best 59 points.
As the host side for the 2015 Dudley-Hewitt Cup Central Canada Jr. A Championship, the Lakers see their seven regulation time defeats ties them for the seventh overall in fewest setbacks in the CJHL.
Winners of 10 straight, the powerful Portage Terriers of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League have the best winning percentage in the CJHL as the 2015 RBC Cup hosts are at .939 while having gone 45-2-2 in MJHL play to date.
Rounding out the top five are the Spruce Grove Saints (AJHL) .847, Carleton Place Canadians (CCHL) .820, Camrose Kodiaks (AJHL) .819 and the Soo Thunderbirds (NOJHL) .816.
