DRYDEN, ON —
The Dryden GM Ice Dogs scored twice in a span of 14 seconds late in the
second period to regain the lead, then held off the Thunder Bay North Stars for a 6–4 win Friday
night at the Dryden Memorial Arena.
Baden Pazdzierski opened the scoring at 8:54 of the first period. Thunder Bay tied it just over
four minutes later, but Miller Bruckshaw restored Dryden’s lead with 1:01 remaining in the
period.
The North Stars struck twice in 28 seconds midway through the second to take a 3–2 lead.
Kelby Diehl answered on the power play at 16:52, and Pazdzierski scored at 17:06 to send the
Ice Dogs into the third period ahead 4–3.
Pazdzierski completed his hat trick at 8:05 of the third. Thunder Bay pulled back within one at
11:09, but Dryden protected the lead until Regan Anderson sealed the win with an empty-net
goal in the final seconds.
Silas Dromarsky made 29 saves for the Dryden GM Ice Dogs, recording his first junior hockey
win. Dryden went 1-for-1 on the power play and held Thunder Bay scoreless on two
opportunities.
