For the second straight night the Kam River Walleye were the visiting team at the Cochenour Arena to take on the Red Lake Miners. This would be the last meeting in the regular season between these 2 teams. Eric Vanska would get the start in net for the Walley while Kiev Kineshanko was back in the crease for the Miners.
First period had scoring chances both ways but both Vanska and Kineshanko were up to the task. After 20 minutes of play the game is a scoreless tie. Shots on goal after 1 period 10-6 in favour of the Miners.
Kam River would open the scoring the second period. Jeremy Dunmore would bang rebound home past Kineshanko for his 16th at 1:58. Treston Moisey would draw the Miners even at 8:43 beating Vanska with wrist shot for his 3rd of the season. 5 minutes of overtime would settle nothing and this game would need to be settled by a shoot out.
