SIJHL announces postponement of tonight’s Iron Rangers – Lakers game in Fort Frances

THUNDER BAY, Ont. – The Superior International Junior Hockey League has tonight’s scheduled contest (Saturday, February 23) between the Minnesota Iron Rangers and Fort Frances Lakers at Ice for Kids Arena has been postponed.

The cause of the postponement is due to a high amount of injuries and illness that has extremely limited the Iron Rangers roster.

As one of the two U.S.-based teams in the league, Minnesota is not allowed to register affiliate players in accordance with Hockey Canada/USA Hockey rules and regulation, thus will not be able to ice a complete line-up for the contest.

A make-up date for this postponed game will be announced by the SIJHL once it is finalized between the two teams.
