North Stars join Lakers in CJHL rankings

North Stars join Lakers in CJHL rankings

THUNDER BAY, Ont. – The Fort Frances Lakers have some company from the Superior International Junior Hockey League in the latest Canadian Junior Hockey League Pointstreak Top 20 weekly rankings as the Thunder Bay North Stars also garnered a place in the listings announced Monday

Fort Frances was slotted 11th overall in the CJHL while the North Stars were tabbed 13th in the rankings, which are compiled in conjunction with International Scouting Services.

The Lakers are currently holding down top spot in the SIJHL standings with 25 points and their 12-5-0-1 record.

As for the North Stars they sit one point in arrears with 24 at 12-5 while also holding one game in hand.

In terms of winning percentage Thunder Bay is first in the SIJHL at .706 with Fort Frances second at .694.

There is a new No. 1 club in the CJHL this week as the Carleton Place Canadians (CCHL) has moved into the top spot nationally.

The Portage Terriers (MJHL) and the Penticton Vees (BCHL) were slotted second and third overall respectively.
