Dryden’s Masters named Amyotte’s Awards & Promotions player of the week

THUNDER BAY, Ont. – The Superior International Junior Hockey League has announced that Dryden GM Ice Dogs forward Eric Masters has been named the Amyotte’s Awards & Promotions Corp. player of the week for the period ending Dec. 21.

The 20-year-old Prince Albert, Sask., product was recognized for his efforts in a Dec. 16 contest vs. the English River Miners.

In that match-up Masters notched a career-high five goals, including a natural hat trick in the first period, as Dryden skated to an 8-3 victory.

The impressive offensive outburst saw him over double his tally total to nine on the season.

Also receiving consideration for the SIJHL player of the week was: Nathan Park, (G) Fort Frances Lakers; Evan Erickson, (F) Minnesota Iron Rangers; Daniel McKitrick, (F) Thunder Bay North Stars; and Eric Champagne, (F) English River Miners.
