SIJHL announces suspension

THUNDER BAY, Ont. – The Superior International Junior Hockey League announced Saturday the following suspension resulting from an incident during Game 3 of the Bill Salonen Cup final between the Thunder Bay North Stars and Dryden GM Ice Dogs at the Fort William Gardens.

AVERY SIAU, THUNDER BAY NORTH STARS – TWENTY-FIVE (25) GAMES

Player, who was already under league suspension for one game during that contest, is suspended for two off-ice incidents, the second of which being assessed a gross misconduct at the 20-minute mark of the third period under Hockey Canada rule 6.7 (i) and rule 2.2 (h) in Series E, Game 3 of the Bill Salonen Cup finals on April 17.

The player has served three games to date of the suspension and will not compete in the upcoming Dudley-Hewitt Cup.
