Wilderness move to No. 2 in CJHL rankings

Winners of 11 games in succession, the Minnesota Wilderness remain one of the hottest clubs in the Canadian Junior Hockey League and have been recognized as such for their on-ice efforts.

As leaders of the Superior International Junior Hockey League with a 23-3 record, while going 16-1 in their past 17 outings, the Wilderness have moved up one notch and are now rated No. 2 overall in CJHL Top 20 this week in rankings compiled in conjunction with NHL Central Scouting.

As two-time defending champions in the SIJHL under head coach and general manager Rod Aldoff, the Wilderness have gone 112-15-9-2 all-time since joining the league to begin the 2010-11 season.

Only the red-hot Brooks Bandits of the Alberta Junior Hockey League are rated higher than the Wilderness as they presently have the best record in the entire 128-team CJHL at 30-1 and sit No. 1 for another week.

Rounding out the top five are the Truro Bearcats (MHL), Trenton Golden Hawks (OJHL) and the OCN Blizzard (MJHL) who are ranked third, fourth and fifth respectively.
