Red-hot Wilderness remain No. 2 team in CJHL

The surging Minnesota Wilderness continue to roll along while maintaining their place among the elite clubs in the Canadian Junior Hockey League.

Winners of 20 consecutive games, including 17 straight in Superior International Jr. Hockey League play as well as a trip of triumphs over Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League competition over the weekend in the inaugural Superior-Northern Showdown, the Wilderness were once again rated No. 2 overall in the CJHL Top 20 rankings, which are compiled each week in conjunction with NHL Central Scouting.

The two-time defending SIJHL champions sit in first place in the league standings with a 29-3 record while also holding down the second-best winning percentage in the entire 128-team CJHL at .906.

The Brooks Bandits of the Alberta Jr. Hockey League were once again rated as the top club in the CJHL as they enter action this week with a CJHL-best mark of 36-1-1.

Rounding out the top three are the Yarmouth Jr. Mariners of the Maritime Hockey League. They are 9-1 in the past 10 and 25-5-1 overall.
