Fort Frances stays 6th in CJHL rankings; North Stars up to 14th

THUNDER BAY, Ont. – The top two clubs in the Superior International Junior Hockey League clubs continue to draw national attention in the Canadian Junior Hockey League.

The latest installment of the CJHL’s top 20 rankings announced Monday have the Fort Frances Lakers holding their sixth overall listing while the Thunder Bay North Stars moved up two notched to 14th.

Fort Frances remains in first place in the SIJHL with 78 points in 47 games on a 37-6-2-2 record.

Second overall Thunder Bay has 67 points in 45 outings, which goes along with their 31-9-1-4 mark.

Back for a second straight week as the No. 1 team in the CJHL this week are the surging Soo Thunderbirds of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League, who are a riding an impressive 24-game winning streak.

The Alberta Junior Hockey League’s Spruce Grove Saints at No. 2 while the Selkirk Steelers of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League sit at No. 3.
