Stout scores 3, Pavlislin posts shutout as GM Ice Dogs roll over Lakers

DRYDEN, Ont. – The Dryden GM Ice Dogs picked up a hat trick from Eric Stout while Landon Pavlisin turned aside all 34 shots he faced to post his first Superior International Junior Hockey League shutout as they rolled over the Fort Frances Lakers 8-0 Monday evening at Memorial Arena.

It was all Dryden from the onset as they stormed out to a 3-0 lead after one period of play on markers from Jacen Bracko, Evan Walls, and Stout.

The home side kept coming in the middle stanza and tacked on three more tallies from Bracko, Walls and Stout once again.

Trevor Kavanaugh and another by Stout, who reached 20 goals on the campaign, capped off the one-side result in the final frame.

Conner Mowatt and Kris Hamlin dished out three assists each to aid Dryden’s offensive cause while Trey Palermo, Woody Galbraith and Brendan Jay had two helpers apiece.

Along with the shutout victory, Pavlisin improved to 6-0 with the GM Ice Dogs.

Brett Akins started for Fort Frances and suffered the loss allowing three against on 15 shots while Ismael Raltsten stopped 31 of 36 in 47 minutes of lengthy relief.
