DRYDEN, Ont. – Eric Stout scored three times and added an assist while Jordan Wilde turned aside all 26 shots he faced to post his first Superior International Junior Hockey League shutout as the Dryden GM Ice Dogs rolled over the Minnesota Iron Rangers 9-0 Friday at Memorial Arena.
Dryden was business from the onset of the contest as they stormed out to a 5-0 lead after one period of play on goals from Dawson Boehm, his first in the SIJHL, Jacob Siebenga and Dylan Winsor at even strength while Cameron Coutre on the power play and Stout shorthanded all picked up markers in the early offensive outburst.
Reid Manning and Stout added to the onslaught in the middle frame before Winsor and Stout capped off the romp with third period tallies.
In all, seven different GM Ice Dogs skaters produced multi-point nights in the one-sided result.
Coutre now has points in nine straight outings for Dryden that features five goals and eight assists.
Synjen Amende faced 47 shots in defeat for the Iron Rangers.
