Status quo for Lakers in CJHL rankings
THUNDER BAY, Ont. – The Canadian Junior Hockey League’s Pointstreak top 20 rankings for the week are out and it remains status quo for the Superior International Junior Hockey League’s lone representative.
Coming off a week where they did not play, the Fort Frances Lakers maintained their No. 4 overall CJHL ranking in the overall listings, which are compiled in conjunction with International Scouting Services.
Currently riding a nine-game winning streak, the front-running Lakers continue to hold down top spot in the SIJHL standings with a solid 16-2-0 record.
Despite having an impressive 23-game win streak snapped over the weekend, the Penticton Vees (BCHL) remains the No. 1 team in the CJHL for another week.
The defending Dudley-Hewitt Cup champion Soo Thunderbirds (NOJHL) jumped to second overall in the 131-team CJHL while the reigning RBC Cup title-holding Portage Terriers (MJHL) slipped to No. 3.
