THUNDER BAY, Ont. — The Superior International Junior Hockey League announced Saturday the following suspension:
ZACH ASH, (F) MINNESOTA IRON RANGERS: EIGHT (8) GAMES
Player is suspended under Supplementary Discipline for his actions at the 19:51 mark of the second period in the Friday, Sept. 28 contest vs. the Fort Frances Lakers at Ice for Kids Arena.
Player was previously assessed a minor penalty for instigating, a minor penalty as the aggressor along with a major penalty and subsequent game misconduct for fighting under Hockey Canada rules 6.7 (a) and (b).
The player will miss the following games:
Oct. 5: @ Thunder Bay
Oct. 6: vs. Fort Frances
Oct. 10: vs. Thief River Falls
Oct. 12: vs. Thunder Bay
Oct. 13: vs. Thunder Bay
Oct. 18: vs. Red Lake
Oct. 19: @ Dryden
Oct. 20: @ Thunder Bay
