SIJHL announces suspension

THUNDER BAY, Ont. – Superior International Junior Hockey League Commissioner Bryan Graham has announced the following suspension resulting from an incident during SIJHL Game No. 122, Minnesota Iron Rangers @ Dryden GM Ice Dogs, played on Friday, Feb. 22.

TANNER WATT, DRYDEN GM ICE DOGS – TWO (2) GAMES

Watt is suspended for incurring his third minor penalty and subsequent 10-minute misconduct for head contact under Rule 6.5 (c).

As this offence was his third infraction under this category this season, he receives an automatic two-game suspension under CJHL Jr. Supplement Rule 1.1.

The player will miss the following games:

Game No. 124: Sunday. Feb. 28 vs. Minnesota
Game No. 109: Wednesday. March 2 vs. English River (Make-up game of earlier postponed contest)
