North Stars’ Bruchkowski named SIJHL – Monkey Team Sports, by Northland, Performer of the Month for February


THUNDER BAY, Ont. –
The Superior International Junior Hockey League announced Sunday that Cody Bruchkowski of the Thunder Bay North Stars has been named its Monkey Team Sports, by Northland, Performer of the Month for February.

In 11 games during the time frame, the 20-year-old Cochenour, Ont., product secured points in each of them, registering 24 in total, including a league-best 16 goals.

Bruchkowski tallied at least once in nine of those outings in the month, had six multi-goal games and a notched a pair of game-winning markers.

He enters March riding an impressive 20-game point streak and has only been held off the score sheet three times in his first 47 contests with the North Stars.

His 55 tallies pace all SIJHL skaters and if you add in the five he collected with the Brockville Braves (CCHL) in seven match-ups prior to joining Thunder Bay, Bruchkowksi leads all skaters in the 131-team CJHL in goals so far this season with 60.

He also tops the SIJHL in points (90); power play tallies (17) and game-winning goals (10).

Also earning consideration for the SIJHL’s Monkey Team Sports, by Northland, Performer of the Month for February was Tyler Johnson, (F) Thief River Falls Norskies; Spencer Milne, (F) Red Lake Miners; Dalton Garcia, (F) Wisconsin Lumberjacks; Nolan Marshall, (F) Dryden GM Ice Dogs and Kyle Uzelman, (F) Fort Frances Lakers.
