THUNDER BAY, Ont. – The Superior International Junior Hockey League announced Monday Thief River Falls Norskies forward Parker Simonson has been named its Play It Again Sports player of the week, for the period ending Nov. 12.

In a pair of road contests over the weekend, Simonson scored three times to help the No. 1 Canadian Junior Hockey League-ranked Norskies sweep a two-game set against the Thunder Bay North Stars.

On the season he leads the SIJHL in goals scored with 17 and is tied for the league-lead in overall offensive production with 26 points.

This marks Simonson’s third player of the week nod so far this season.
