Norskies Bryce Johnson named SIJHL Play It Again Sports Player of the Week

THUNDER BAY, Ont. – The Superior International Junior Hockey League announced Monday that Thief River Falls Norskies forward Bryce Johnson has been selected its Play It Again Sports Player of the Week for the period ending Nov. 17.

In three games during the time frame, the 19-year-old from Roseau, Minn., racked up 10 points helping Thief River Falls skate to a trio of road victories.

After a one-goal, two-assist performance in a win at Wisconsin, the Norskies captain notched three more markers and doled out four helpers in his club’s two-game sweep vs. league-leading Thunder Bay.

Johnson enters play this week with goals and multi-point affairs in four straight contests and sits tied for third in SIJHL scoring with 25 points, including 10 tallies.

Also earning consideration for player of the week honours were Kyle Uzelman, (F) Fort Frances Lakers; Amraj Gill, (D) Dryden GM Ice Dogs; Shaye Sommerfeld, (F) Red Lake Miners; Parker Brakebill, (F) Wisconsin Lumberjacks and Cody Bruchkowski, (F) Thunder Bay North Stars.
