The Miners would strike first and for the second night in a row Jacob Lamoureux would open the scoring finishing of a nice passing play with Aiden Corbett and Trevor Sanderson at 1:52.  Dayvan Bull made it 2-0 for the home team at 13:02 scoring his first goal as a Miner.  Colton Crysler would make it 3-0 Miners at 19:35 with his 3rd of the SIJHL season.  Shots on goal for the period were 15-11 for the Miners.

Second Period action saw both teams get a couple power play opportunities but neither could convert.  R.J. Dickie scores the only goal of the period at 18:20 to give the Miners a 4-0 lead.  Shots on goal for the period were 15-7 in favour of the Miners.

Third period action saw both teams start to get a little more physical.  A few more body checks were thrown and there was a spirited tilt between Carter Albrecht and Clark Scadden.  Fort Frances mustered 4 shots on goal in the third and Jack Osmond was good when he needed to be.  Jack Osmond stopped all 22 shots he faced earning his first Junior ‘A’ win and shutout.  Final Score Miners 4 Lakers 0.
