The Dryden Ice Dogs made their way up highway 105 to Cochenour to face the Red Lake Miners in the first game of a two game weekend set. Eric Clark got the start in net for the visitors while Jack Osmond got the start for the Miners.

In a back and forth first period neither team could solve a goalie and the game was scoreless after one period.

Just 22 seconds in to the second period hometown AP player Ben Norlock scored his first Junior A goal putting the puck past Clark off of a great pass from Matthew Macpherson.  Landen Stromme would tie the game at 8:33 with a deflection past Osmond.  Miners would go back up by one at 13:35 on the power play when Colton Crysler scored his 13th of the season.  Just over 2 minutes later Brady Frattinger tied it up at 2 on a great solo effort stealing the puck then sneaking it past Osmond for his 4th.  After 40 minutes the game is tied at 2.

Third period action saw Kevin Walker call a time out 12:49 heading to the power play with the game tied.  The timing was perfect as Luke DeCorby scored his 2nd of the season 25 seconds later for the lead.  With Eric Clark on the bench for an extra attacker Mason Mowat stole the puck and put it into the empty cage for his 5th of the year to make it 4-2.

Jack Osmond had a great game stopping 44 shots to pick up his 10th win of the season.
