Ice Dogs Military Night a huge success

DRYDEN – The Dryden Ice Dogs would like to thank all that participated in their first annual “Military Game” held on Nov. 3 to honour our veterans and actively severing military personnel.

The Dryden Legion , Dryden Cadets selling poppies, the Thunder Bay and Kenora Militia and a representative group of the 116 Independent Field Battery, Royal Canadian Artillery, Kenora Army Reserve were all in attendance to help make the night a memorable occasion.

The Ice Dogs would also like to thank Master Bombardier Lynn Danielson for her help organizing the troops.

It was also an honour to have local veteran Mr. Dan Landrie perform the opening face-off.

Funds were raised through the selling of the military jerseys and donation boxes at the door.

There are still jerseys available from the game that remain on sale to anyone that would like to purchase one.

The Ice Dogs would also like to thank Canadian Tire for their efforts in purchasing the jerseys so that they could be used.

The game was well attended and it was tremendous to see the public come out and support the cause.
