GM Ice Dogs’ Zubick commits to Selkirk College of BCIHL

DRYDEN, Ont. – The Dryden GM Ice Dogs of the Superior International Junior Hockey League announced Monday that standout goaltender Patrick Zubick has committed to attend school and play for Selkirk College in his hometown of Castlegar, B.C., in the fall.

The Saints are members of the British Columbia Intercollegiate Hockey League.

In 29 appearances during the campaign, Zubick posted a solid 21-4-3-0 record and led all SIJHL netminders in both goals-against average and save percentage at 2.30 and .931 respectively. He also registered one shutout.
His 21 victories was just one off the league lead and he went 11-2-1-0 since January 1, including winning his last six starts.

Zubick’s efforts helped him be named the league’s Top Goaltender Award recipient as well as a CCM Hockey first team all-star in net.

He also went 8-0 in the Bill Salonen Cup playoffs as Dryden went on to capture the SIJHL championship.
