RED LAKE, Ont. – Dylan Winsor tallied twice, including the game-winner, as the Dryden GM Ice Dogs won their fourth straight game, a 4-2 decision over the Red Lake Miners Tuesday night in Superior International Junior Hockey League action at Cochenour Arena.
Dryden set the tone early as they jumped out to a 3-0 lead after one period of play on a pair of markers by Winsor sandwiched around a power play effort from Cameron Coutre.
The GM Ice Dogs added to their cushion eight minutes into the middle stanza as Rayman Massi notched his club’s second man advantage effort of the evening to go up by four.
Red Lake got themselves on the board at 12:31 of the session when Connor Jacobs collected his fifth of the campaign.
The Miners then added another a couple shifts later to pull within two compliments of Morgan Venne to make it a two-goal game after two periods of play.
However, Dryden netminder Jacob Anthony shut the door the rest of the way, finishing with 23 saves, to secure the road decision for the visitors as they improved to 13-11-2-1 on the campaign.
Zach Willms was busy in defeat for Red Lake as he faced 42 shots as the Miners slipped to 19-8-1-0 overall.
