Dryden; Fort Frances listed in CJHL rankings

THUNDER BAY, Ont. – The latest Canadian Junior Hockey League weekly rankings were announced Monday with the Superior International Junior Hockey League’s Dryden GM Ice Dogs and Fort Frances Lakers earning recognition.

Dryden was slotted in at No. 18 in the CJHL this week while Fort Frances garnered honourable mention status in the listings, which are compiled in conjunction with International Scouting Services.

The GM Ice Dogs sit in top spot in the SIJHL standings with 15 points on a 7-2-1 record while the Lakers are a point in arrears with 14 boasting a 7-2-0 mark, with Fort Frances also holding a game in hand on Dryden.

As the lone remaining unbeaten side in the 131-team CJHL, the Powassan Voodoos (NOJHL) earned the No. 1 overall ranking for a second straight week.

The Trenton Golden Hawks (OJHL) remains the No. 2 squad in the CJHL this week and the Penticton Vees (BCHL) were tabbed third in the CJHL.
