Dryden dumps Minnesota 8-0

DRYDEN, Ont. – Blake Berg tallied twice and set-up two others as the Dryden GM Ice Dogs dumped the Minnesota Iron Rangers 8-0 Friday in a Superior International Junior Hockey League contest held at Memorial Arena.

Dryden took control early getting first period markers from Graham Gove and Kent Walchuk.

Two more goals in the middle stanza put the GM Ice Dogs in control as Berg and Braeden Allkins got into the act.

Dryden then put the game away in third firing in four more to win going away.

Berg, Derek McPhail, Braedyn Aubin and Gove again were the marksmen in the frame.

Taylor Unruh made 17 saves to post the shutout.

Kyle Carignan started for the Iron Rangers and suffered the loss allowing six against on 37 shots.

Bryce Kamenick allowed two on eight attempts in 15 minutes of relief.
