Defenceman Wickstrom back with Lakers for 2013-14
FORT FRANCES – The Fort Frances Lakers of the SIJHL have announced they have re-signed defenceman Cody Wickstrom for the 2013-14 campaign.
The stay-at-home blueliner helped anchosr the Lakers’ defensive corps lasp season while also registering 10 assists in 40 games for Fort Frances.
A 20-year native of Marquette, Mich., will be looked upon to do likewise for the club in 2013-14.
“Cody came in and played well last season for us,” stated Lakers head coach and general manager Wayne Strachan.
“He will be relied upon for a veteran presence on the bluline, increased minutes in play and to play a two-way style to help our team,” added Strachan.
