Congratulations to Red Lake Miners forward, Matthew MacPherson, on being voted this season’s Top Defensive Forward!
While Matthew missed a good portion of the season, he is undoubtedly one of the best defensive forwards in the SIJHL, if not the best.
One of the better centre’s in the league taking faceoffs, he is also a top penalty killer. His ability to get into shooting lanes and block shots is unrivalled and he consistently matches up against some of the best players in the league while doing so.
