Jett Mintenko was the catalyst for the number one offense in the SIJHL, as well as an outstanding defensive center, penalty killer, and leader – on and off the ice. Jett finished 1st among league forwards with 52 assists, 2nd with 82 points, and 3rd with 30 goals. All while tasked as the two-way Center of the number one line in the league, which faced tough matchups night in and night out. Jett was held pointless in just 9 contests on the season, scored 5 game-winning goals, assisted on 6 game-winning goals, and was twice named one of the SIJHL 3 Stars of the Month. He was at his best when it mattered most – Mintenko had 31 points in 22 games against the top 3 teams in the SIJHL Standings, all while consistently going head to head with, and shutting down, the oppositions’ top line. Jett was also among the leaders in the entire CJHL in regular season points and points/game.
