Thief River Falls tryout camp a month away
THIEF RIVER FALLS, Minn. — It is just one month away from the tryout camp for proposed Thief River Falls Superior International Junior Hockey League expansion franchise.
The three-day camp, which runs June 24-26 in Thief River Falls, will be held under the watchful eyes of general manager and director of hockey operations Kevin McCallum and newly hired head coach Cole Workman.
Thief River Falls earlier received unanimous approval from the SIJHL board of governors to join the league and were also granted permission from USA Hockey to become members.
The league has also filed paperwork earlier with Hockey Northwestern Ontario for Hockey Canada approval.
Hockey Canada will be holding their Spring Congress May 27-29 in Moncton, N.B.
