SIJHL announces suspension
THUNDER BAY, Ont. – Superior International Junior Hockey League Commissioner Bryan Graham has announced the following suspension:
ZACHARY SCHLITT, DRYDEN GM ICE DOGS – TWO (2) GAMES
Schlitt is suspended for his actions in SIJHL Game No. 23, Fort Frances Lakers @ Dryden GM Ice Dogs, played on Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2015 after delivering a check to the head area of an unsuspecting Fort Frances player.
On the play Schlitt was assessed a major penalty and subsequent game misconduct for head contact under Rule 6.5 (c).
Schlitt will miss the following games:
SIJHL GAME 25: Friday, Oct. 16 @ English River Miners
SIJHL GAME 27: Saturday, Oct. 17 vs. Minnesota Iron Rangers
