SIJHL announces schedule changes

THUNDER BAY, Ont. – The Superior International Junior Hockey League announced Wednesday a number of changes to its upcoming regular season schedule.

The contest originally scheduled for March 9 between the Fort Frances Lakers and Dryden GM Ice Dogs will now be played on Tuesday, Sept. 26 at 7:30 p.m. CT at Dryden’s Memorial Arena.

As for the Thief River Falls – Dryden game on Sunday, Nov. 5, it now features a new start time of 7:30 p.m. at Memorial Arena.

Finally, the Sunday, Jan. 7 match-up between the Norskies and GM Ice Dogs will now be held on Sunday, Jan. 21 at 7:30 p.m. at Memorial Arena.

SIJHL exhibition action begins Friday with the Fort Frances Lakers hosting the Minnesota Iron Rangers at Ice for Kids Arena while the Thief River Falls Norskies head to Manitoba to take on the Winkler Flyers (MJHL) in a pair of 7:30 p.m. CT starts.

The league 17th regular season gets underway Sept. 22.
