SIJHL announces Lakers – Miners semifinal schedule
THUNDER BAY, Ont. – The Superior International Junior Hockey League announced Thursday the game schedule for the upcoming semifinal series between the No. 1 Fort Frances Lakers and No. 5 English River Miners.
This best-of-seven affair will commence Friday at 7:30 p.m. CT at Ice for Kids Arena in Fort Frances.
Game 2 will be held Sunday at 6:30 p.m. CT back at Ice for Kids Arena.
The series will then shift to Cochenour Arena in Red Lake for Games 3 & 4 Wednesday, April 6 and Thursday, April 7 respectively at 7 p.m. CT
If needed, Game 5 will go Saturday, April 9 in Fort Frances at 7:30 p.m. CT while a Game 6, if required, would be held on Monday, April 11 at Cochenour Arena in Red Lake at 7 p.m. CT.
Should the series go the distance, Game 7 would be held on Wednesday, April 13 at 7:30 p.m. CTat Ice for Kids Arena.
The other league semifinal match-up features the No. 2 Dryden GM Ice Dogs taking on the No. 3 Thunder Bay North Stars in another best-of-seven, which will get underway Saturday at Dryden Memorial Arena.
