CALGARY – The communities of Digby and Yarmouth, Nova Scotia will host the CJHL Prospects Games for a second straight year Nov. 8-9, 2013.

The 2013 CJHL Prospects Games will be held in conjunction with the 2013 World Junior A Challenge in Yarmouth, N.S.

The CJHL Prospects Games were created to showcase 40 of the top NHL prospects in the CJHL.

It features players from the CJHL’s five western leagues competing against the CJHL’s five eastern leagues.

The event includes a two-game total goal series between Team East and Team West in a battle for the President’s Cup, which is awarded annually to the winning team.

Player selection for the annual CJHL Prospects Games is a joint initiative of the CJHL and NHL Central Scouting.

“For a second year the CJHL prospects will compete in front of an impressive audience of NHL scouts in Yarmouth and Digby,” said Canadian Junior Hockey League President Kirk Lamb.

“The CJHL Prospects Games continue to be a highlight of the CJHL schedule for our players and is heavily attended by NHL teams, major junior scouts and coaches from Canadian and American universities and colleges.”

Coaching Staffs for the CJHL Prospects Teams will be announced in September.

Rosters for the teams will be determined following the World Junior A Challenge Selection Camps at the end of October.
