CJHL reaches new deal with Pointstreak

TORONTO – Pointstreak Sports Technologies Inc. and the Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) are pleased to announce that they have reached an agreement, which will see Pointstreak provide a custom networked content management website to the league for its day to day operations and three Regional Championships (Western Canada Cup, Fred Page Cup and the Dudley-Hewitt Cup).

“One of the main priorities of the CJHL is to raise the profile and awareness of Junior A hockey regionally, nationally and across North America, and our digital strategy is paramount to achieving that goal,” stated CJHL President, Kirk Lamb.  “Pointstreak is established, well-known and experienced, has a solid hockey background and offers a wide variety of digital tools, all of which made them a natural partner for what we are trying to do on and off the ice.”

“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to work with the CJHL as they begin to implement their digital strategy. The ability to showcase the Pointstreak platform with a group like the CJHL is very exciting. We are looking forward to providing the league and its member leagues with the benefits of our content management system” said Ken Cook, Pointstreak’s COO.

In addition to powering the main CJHL website, the CJHL will be utilizing Pointstreak Sites’ content management platform and Pointstreak Stats for their three Regional Championships.  The Pointstreak platforms will streamline the process of capturing and delivering real-time content of those game events to the league and championship websites for the benefit of all interested stakeholders (players, fans, and media partners). A unique feature of Pointstreak’s networked content management platform is the ability to provide seamless transfer of content.

The CJHL will launch its new website in September 2013. Keep up to date by visiting the CJHL website at www.cjhlhockey.com.
